Tabby Secures Consumer and SME Finance Licenses from Saudi Central Bank

Tabby announced on Jun 29, 2026, that it has received a consumer finance licence and an SME finance licence from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). The consumer licence enables payment plans of up to 12 monthly instalments on purchases over SAR 2,000, with limits reaching SAR 50,000. These plans use a Shariah-compliant Murabaha structure with fixed, upfront costs and no compounding or late fees.

Longer plans are already live across retailers including Noon, IKEA, Almosafer and flynas, rolling out to a first group of customers before wider availability. The SME finance licence allows Tabby to offer working capital to businesses on its platform. Tabby previously graduated from SAMA's regulatory sandbox and received its buy-now-pay-later licence in 2025.

The company serves more than 25 million registered users and over 65,000 businesses across the GCC.
