General disclaimer
baas.com is operated by Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"). baas.com is an industry intelligence and information platform providing data, commentary, news summaries, and directory listings relating to Banking-as-a-Service ("BaaS") and embedded finance. It is not a bank, financial institution, regulated financial services provider, law firm, compliance consultancy, or investment adviser.
All content published on baas.com — including but not limited to the Registry, Regulatory Tracker, Deal Feed, Verified Profiles, and Connect modules — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes, or should be construed as, professional advice of any kind.
Access to and use of baas.com is entirely at your own risk. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice.
Not financial, legal, or regulatory advice
Nothing on baas.com constitutes financial advice, legal advice, regulatory advice, compliance advice, or investment advice. You should not rely on any content published on this platform as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
In particular:
- Summaries of regulatory enforcement actions are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal analysis, compliance guidance, or a definitive characterisation of any institution's regulatory standing.
- Registry listings and programme status indicators do not constitute a recommendation or endorsement of any bank or provider as a suitable partner for your business.
- Deal feed entries are editorial summaries of publicly reported events and do not constitute investment advice or an opinion on the commercial merits of any transaction.
- Connect introductions facilitated through baas.com do not constitute a recommendation that any particular partnership is suitable, compliant, or commercially appropriate for your organisation.
Before making any business, financial, legal, or compliance decision based on information found on baas.com, you should consult qualified professionals including, as appropriate, licensed legal counsel, compliance officers, financial advisers, and regulatory specialists familiar with your specific jurisdiction and circumstances.
Accuracy and timeliness of information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on baas.com is accurate and current at the time of publication. However, the BaaS and embedded finance sector is subject to rapid change, and we cannot guarantee that any information on this platform is complete, accurate, or up to date at any given moment.
In particular:
- Regulatory actions, consent orders, and enforcement actions may be modified, terminated, appealed, or superseded after publication. Users should verify the current status of any regulatory action directly with the relevant regulator before acting on it.
- Registry entries are updated periodically but may not reflect the most current status of any bank's BaaS programme, licensing status, or regulatory standing. Banks may have entered, paused, or exited BaaS programmes after a registry entry was last verified.
- Programme status labels such as "Active," "Active — Regulatory Review," and "Inactive" are editorial assessments based on available information at the time of last update and do not constitute verified regulatory determinations.
- Deal feed entries are based on publicly available reporting and press releases. Financial terms, timelines, and other details reported by third-party sources may be inaccurate, incomplete, or subject to change.
We do not warrant that the platform is free from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. If you identify inaccurate information, please contact us at legal@baas.com and we will review and correct records as appropriate.
Regulatory tracker disclaimer
The Regulatory Tracker publishes summaries of enforcement actions, consent orders, formal agreements, cease-and-desist orders, and supervisory guidance issued by banking regulators including the OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, FCA, BaFin, and others. These summaries are compiled from publicly available regulatory press releases, official regulatory databases, and credible secondary reporting.
Tracker summaries are editorial interpretations of public regulatory documents, not verbatim reproductions. The full text of any regulatory action should always be consulted directly from the issuing regulator's official website before relying on it for any purpose.
We do not represent that our summaries capture every term, condition, or nuance of any regulatory action. Severity ratings assigned to enforcement actions are editorial assessments and do not reflect any official regulatory classification or the views of any regulator.
The presence of an institution in the Regulatory Tracker does not imply that the institution is unsafe, unsuitable as a business partner, or in violation of law. Regulatory actions are a normal part of bank supervision and do not necessarily indicate wrongdoing. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence on any institution before entering a business relationship.
baas.com is not affiliated with, authorised by, or acting on behalf of any banking regulator. Links to official regulatory documents are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party regulatory websites.
Registry and profile listings disclaimer
The baas.com Registry and Verified Profiles directory contain listings of banks, BaaS providers, EMIs, and other entities operating in the embedded finance ecosystem. These listings are compiled from public sources, direct entity submissions, and editorial research.
Inclusion in the Registry or Profiles directory does not constitute:
- An endorsement, recommendation, or certification of any listed entity by baas.com or Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd.
- A representation that any listed entity is licensed, authorised, or in good regulatory standing in any jurisdiction
- A representation that any listed entity is a suitable business partner for your organisation
- A guarantee that the entity's BaaS programme, products, or services are currently available or operating as described
Verified badges (blue) indicate that we have taken reasonable steps to confirm an entity's domain and identity. BaaS.com Certified badges (gold) indicate that an entity has completed the baas.com Certification audit at the time of certification. Neither badge constitutes a regulatory licence, authorisation, or compliance guarantee.
Entities may update their own profile information. We do not independently verify all self-submitted information. Users should independently verify any material information before relying on it for business decisions.
Intent signals displayed on verified profiles (such as "actively seeking bank partner") reflect information submitted by the entity at a particular point in time and may not reflect the entity's current position.
Deal feed disclaimer
The Deal Feed publishes editorial summaries of publicly reported deals, transactions, funding rounds, partnerships, and product launches in the BaaS and embedded finance sector. Content is compiled from press releases, credible industry publications, and public announcements.
Deal feed entries do not constitute investment advice, financial analysis, or a solicitation to invest in or engage with any entity. Information about funding amounts, valuations, and deal terms is sourced from third-party reporting and may be incomplete, unverified, or subject to change. We do not independently verify the financial terms of any transaction.
Summaries of AI-generated content used in deal entries are described further in Section 8 of these disclaimers.
Connect disclaimer
The baas.com Connect service facilitates introductions between banks, fintechs, BaaS providers, and investors who have expressed mutual interest in partnership. It is an introduction service only.
baas.com is not a broker, dealer, intermediary, agent, or adviser in connection with any transaction or partnership. We do not negotiate, structure, or advise on any deal or business arrangement introduced through the Connect service. We receive no commission, fee, or economic benefit from any transaction that results from a Connect introduction, except where a separately agreed fee arrangement exists and is disclosed.
An introduction through baas.com does not imply that baas.com has assessed, evaluated, or approved either party as suitable for the proposed partnership. Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence on any counterparty before entering any agreement.
Contact details and other information about counterparties are shared only when mutual interest has been expressed by both parties. baas.com does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by any party in a Connect profile.
Any agreements, arrangements, or transactions entered into between parties introduced through baas.com are entirely between those parties. baas.com accepts no responsibility for the outcome of any introduction, including any losses, disputes, or regulatory consequences arising from a partnership arranged through the platform.
AI-generated content
Some content on baas.com — including summaries in the Regulatory Tracker, Deal Feed entries, and registry notes — is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence systems including large language models. AI-generated content is reviewed by our editorial team before publication but may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
AI-generated summaries are editorial interpretations based on available source material and do not constitute definitive legal, regulatory, or financial statements. The use of AI in content generation does not alter the general disclaimers applicable to all content on this platform.
We do not represent that AI-generated content is error-free. Users should verify AI-generated summaries against primary sources before relying on them for any material purpose.
No endorsement
The listing, mention, or description of any bank, BaaS provider, fintech, individual, product, or service on baas.com does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, sponsorship, or approval by baas.com or Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd.
Equally, the absence of any entity from baas.com's listings does not imply a negative assessment of that entity. Coverage decisions are editorial and based on the availability of verifiable public information.
No entity has paid for favourable editorial coverage, placement, or descriptions on baas.com. Commercial arrangements with entities listed on the platform, where they exist, are disclosed separately and do not influence editorial content.
Third-party links and content
baas.com contains links to third-party websites including regulatory bodies, news publications, official company websites, and other external resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control third-party websites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or security.
The inclusion of any link to a third-party website does not imply endorsement of that website or its content by baas.com or Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd. Users access third-party websites entirely at their own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of those websites.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, baas.com and Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd., including their officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of, or inability to use, baas.com or any content on the platform
- Any reliance placed on information, data, summaries, or analysis published on baas.com
- Any business decision, partnership, transaction, or regulatory action taken or not taken based on content from baas.com
- Any error, omission, inaccuracy, or delay in any content on baas.com
- Any introduction or match facilitated through the Connect service
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the platform or any of its features
- Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
This limitation applies regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
All original content on baas.com — including but not limited to editorial summaries, analysis, platform design, logos, trademarks, and the baas.com Certification framework — is the intellectual property of Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd. and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any content from baas.com without our prior written consent, except as permitted by applicable law (including fair dealing or fair use provisions).
Linking to baas.com from external websites is permitted provided it is done in a manner that is fair and does not damage our reputation. Framing or embedding baas.com content within another website without our written consent is not permitted.
Entity names, logos, and trademarks displayed in registry listings and profiles are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Their display on baas.com does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those entities.
Governing law
These disclaimers and your use of baas.com are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Staq Technologies (DIFC) Ltd. is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
