Firenze Raises £6M to Scale Embedded Lombard Lending Platform
Firenze announced an oversubscribed £6 million funding round on Apr 21, 2026, just 12 months after its £2.5 million seed. AlbionVC led the round, with follow-on participation from Outward VC and Form Ventures. Firenze's embedded finance platform lets wealth managers offer lending secured against investments without requiring clients to move or sell assets, with liquidity available in as little as 24 hours.
The company now partners with UK firms representing almost £200 billion in assets under management, including Brooks Macdonald, Canaccord Wealth, and platforms such as Parmenion. Drawn facility volumes tripled during Q1 alone. Firenze will use the funds to accelerate partner roll-outs, enhance its SaaS product for banks, deploy an agentic credit structurer, and launch in new jurisdictions.
The firm plans to more than double its team to support rising borrower demand.
- Embedded lending infrastructure for wealth management is attracting dedicated VC funding, indicating a maturing niche within BaaS.
- Banks gain a SaaS route to offer Lombard lending without building proprietary platforms, lowering barriers to embedded credit products.
