Braid and Koard Partner to Expand Modern In-Person Payments

Braid FI announced on Jun 9, 2026, that it signed an agreement with Koard to power tap-to-pay-on-phone across the Braid ecosystem. Braid FI operates a payments infrastructure platform serving community banks and financial institutions, supporting digital onboarding, ledger, virtual accounts, ACH, wire, FedNow, RTP, and card issuing. Its deployment model centers on dedicated, bank-controlled infrastructure rather than middleware.

Koard provides developer-first infrastructure for in-person payments, enabling partners to launch modern acceptance experiences through a streamlined integration. The partnership extends Braid's platform into point-of-sale acceptance, giving banks and their fintech programs a path to offer tap-to-pay-on-phone. Financial terms were not disclosed.
