Banxware Raises €10M to Expand Embedded Lending-as-a-Service in Europe
Banxware, a Berlin-based lending-as-a-service provider, raised €10 million in funding in January 2022 to expand its embedded lending products across major European markets. The company provides white-label merchant cash advance and lending solutions that integrate directly into payment service providers and digital platforms. At the time of the raise, Banxware had already established integrations with platforms such as Penta, Takeaway.com, and Prestashop over the preceding 12 months, demonstrating product-market fit.
The funding was earmarked to support partnerships with three leading payment service providers and multiple platforms across Germany, with subsequent expansion throughout Europe. HTGF was among the investors supporting the round. Banxware's model exemplifies the embedded finance trend where lending capabilities are distributed through non-bank platforms at the point of need, rather than through traditional banking channels.
