Wix Launches Embedded Checking Accounts and Capital for SMBs
Wix announced the launch of two embedded financial services products: Wix Checking and Wix Capital, targeting small businesses that operate on its platform. Wix Checking provides a free business checking account with an integrated debit card and real-time financial insights connected to Wix Payments, offered in partnership with Lincoln Savings Bank as the issuing institution. Wix Capital delivers merchant cash advances as an alternative financing option for SMBs that may not qualify for traditional loans.
Both products are deeply integrated into the Wix ecosystem, allowing merchants to manage finances alongside their commerce operations. The launch represents a significant expansion of Wix's embedded finance strategy, moving the company from pure payments into full banking and lending. Financial terms of the Lincoln Savings Bank partnership were not disclosed.
The products are expected to strengthen merchant retention on the Wix platform.
