Thredd and Sutton Bank Partner to Power U.S. Card Program Expansion

Thredd and Sutton Bank announced a partnership on Jun 17, 2026, under which Sutton Bank will act as BIN sponsor for Thredd clients seeking to launch prepaid and debit card programs in the United States. Thredd will supply the issuer processing platform and program infrastructure, covering payments processing, card controls, risk and fraud tools, automated back-office functions and digital wallet enablement. The partnership targets global fintechs and embedded finance providers looking to enter or expand in the U.S. market.

Sutton Bank, an Ohio-based community bank founded in 1878, has supported hundreds of card programs across networks, processors and program managers. The deal is part of Thredd's broader effort to build a partner-led issuing ecosystem spanning multiple geographies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
