Solaris Struggling to Raise €100M for Major ADAC Credit Card Deal

ADAC Finanzdienste GmbH and Solarisbank AG announced a partnership on Sep 30, 2022, under which Solaris will take over the ADAC credit card program as co-branding partner. The deal replaces Landesbank Berlin, which had served as ADAC's banking partner for the card. The transition was scheduled for the second half of 2023, with all existing services continuing until then.

The ADAC credit card portfolio covers approximately 1.3 million customers. Cardholders retain access to the full service package, including fuel discounts and insurance benefits, during and after the changeover. ADAC Finanzdienste and Landesbank Berlin had disclosed in October 2021 that their credit card cooperation would expire, with a new banking partner set to take over in 2023.
