Sionic and Agentix Partner to Connect AI Shopping Agents with Bank Payments

Sionic and Agentix announced a partnership on Aug 6, 2026, to bring instant bank-to-bank payments into AI agent-driven commerce. Under the agreement, Sionic powers a shopping agent that lets consumers pay directly from their bank accounts using its Instant Bank Pay rails. Agentix transforms merchant inventories into a machine-readable format through its Agent to Agent capability, enabling Sionic's agents to discover products and complete transactions autonomously.

The combined workflow allows AI agents to browse inventory, select products, and settle payments in real time without card networks. Sionic contributes FI-grade payment infrastructure and embedded fraud intelligence. Agentix adds merchant-readiness tools and agent verification safeguards.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
