Increase Launches FDIC-Member Increase Bank as Fintech-Focused BaaS Partner

Increase launched Increase Bank, an FDIC-member bank built to serve technology companies through an API-first platform. The bank provides bare-metal access to ACH, wires, FedNow, Real-Time Payments, checks, push-to-card, Swift, and blockchain rails. It also offers full-stack card issuing, flexibly titled bank accounts, modular compliance tooling, and tailored loan programs including capital call lines of credit.

Clients on the platform include Gusto, Ramp, Stripe, Check, and Tekion. Increase reports more than $500 billion in annualized transaction volume and 99.9999% historical uptime. The company's team draws from Stripe, Visa, and U.S. government agencies, with engineers and compliance staff working directly alongside clients.

Implications
  • A BaaS infrastructure provider obtaining its own bank charter signals a trend toward vertical integration, reducing dependence on third-party sponsor banks.
  • With direct Fed, Clearing House, and Visa connections under a single entity, Increase Bank could set a new benchmark for full-stack BaaS offerings and intensify regulatory scrutiny of the model.
