Finzly and ICBA Bancard Partner to Offer Instant Payments for Community Banks

Finzly and ICBA Bancard announced a partnership on July 12, 2021, to provide instant payment capabilities to community banks through Finzly's Payment Galaxy hub. The platform offers a unified payments infrastructure supporting multiple rails including ACH, wire transfers, RTP (Real-Time Payments), and is designed to support future FedNow connectivity. Finzly had previously participated in ICBA's 2020 ThinkTECH Accelerator program, establishing a prior relationship between the organizations.

The partnership aims to level the playing field for community banks by providing them access to modern, real-time payment capabilities. By integrating multiple payment rails into a single hub, Finzly reduces the complexity and cost for smaller banks to offer competitive payment services. This collaboration reflects the broader trend of fintech-bank partnerships enabling smaller financial institutions to compete with larger banks on payments infrastructure.
