Finastra and Microsoft Deliver Embedded Lending for SMEs via Dynamics 365

On April 12, 2022, Finastra announced a collaboration with Microsoft to bring embedded financing options to small and medium-sized enterprises through Microsoft Dynamics 365. The integration uses open APIs to enable SMEs to access lending products directly within their existing business management software. By leveraging business data already present in Dynamics 365, the solution aims to streamline the financing application process and enable faster credit decisions.

Finastra contributes its banking and lending technology stack while Microsoft provides the enterprise software platform and distribution reach. The initial rollout was planned for North America in summer 2022. This partnership represents a significant embedded lending use case, bringing bank-originated financing to the point of business operations.

The collaboration highlights the growing convergence of enterprise software and financial services, with major technology companies serving as distribution channels for embedded banking products.
