Ebanx Acquires B2B Payments Fintech Juno in Brazil

Ebanx, a Brazilian cross-border payments company, finalized the acquisition of Juno, a B2B payments fintech operating in Brazil, in October 2021. Juno served over 35,000 small and medium-sized enterprises with billing, payment processing, and banking services, including its digital account product Conta Juno. The acquisition enables Ebanx to expand beyond its core cross-border payments business into domestic B2B embedded financial services for Brazilian SMEs.

Juno's existing infrastructure for deposit accounts and payment facilitation gives Ebanx a ready-made platform for offering banking-as-a-service capabilities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction reflects the growing trend of payments companies vertically integrating banking and financial services to serve merchants more comprehensively.

For Juno's 35,000+ SME customers, the acquisition promises access to Ebanx's broader technology and international reach.
