Conduit Raises $6M to Expand Cross-Border Payments API into Africa

Conduit announced a $6 million seed extension round in August 2024 to broaden its B2B cross-border payments API from its existing Latin American operations into Africa. The round was led by Helios Digital Ventures. Conduit's API platform allows businesses to send and receive USD transfers via ACH and SWIFT rails without needing to establish a U.S. entity, significantly reducing barriers for international commerce.

The geographic expansion into Africa targets a market with substantial demand for reliable, low-cost cross-border payment infrastructure. By offering an API-first approach, Conduit enables fintechs and businesses to embed cross-border payment capabilities directly into their platforms. The funding reflects strong investor interest in payments infrastructure that bridges emerging markets to the global financial system.

The move positions Conduit as a key embedded finance enabler for B2B corridors between the Americas and Africa.
