Banxware Discloses €4M Seed Round for Embedded SME Lending Platform

Banxware, a Berlin-based embedded finance startup, announced €4M in seed funding on February 3, 2021, to accelerate development of its white-label SME lending platform. The company provides APIs and infrastructure that allow marketplaces, payment service providers, and other platforms to embed merchant lending directly into their offerings. Banxware had initially launched in December 2020 and used the seed round to expand its product capabilities and market reach.

The platform analyzes merchant transaction data from host platforms to underwrite and issue loans, streamlining access to capital for small businesses. Financial terms beyond the €4M headline figure were not disclosed in detail. The funding positions Banxware to compete in the growing European embedded lending space, where platforms increasingly seek to monetize their merchant relationships through financial services.
