Airwallex Launches in US via Evolve Bank Partnership

Airwallex, an Australian-founded global fintech platform, launched its services in the United States around August 2021 through a partnership with Evolve Bank & Trust. The partnership enables Airwallex to provide its cross-border payment infrastructure to US-based businesses, leveraging Evolve Bank's banking license and regulatory framework. Airwallex's platform focuses on enabling businesses to manage international payments, FX, and treasury operations more efficiently.

Evolve Bank & Trust serves as the sponsor bank for the US operations, continuing its established role as one of the most active partner banks in the BaaS and embedded finance space. The US launch represents a significant geographic expansion for Airwallex as it competes with other cross-border payment providers. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
