Visa Launches Fintech Fast Track Program in the U.S.

Visa officially launched its Fintech Fast Track program in the U.S. on July 31, 2019, with plans for global expansion. The program is designed to help fintech startups integrate rapidly with Visa's payment network, VisaNet, removing friction from the traditional onboarding process. Participating venture capital firms including Andreessen Horowitz, Nyca Partners, Ribbit Capital, and Trinity Ventures can automatically qualify their portfolio companies for the program.

Banking-as-a-Service providers Green Dot and BBVA Open Platform are key participants, enabling fintechs to offer branded banking and payment products via APIs without needing direct bank charters. The program targets fintechs across payments, lending, and money management verticals. By combining Visa's network scale with BaaS infrastructure and VC pipeline, the initiative aims to accelerate the time-to-market for fintech products.

This represents a significant move by Visa to position itself as infrastructure for the emerging embedded finance ecosystem.
