Vietcombank Partners with Virtusa to Launch AI-Native Corporate Banking Platform

Vietcombank, Vietnam's largest state-owned commercial bank, announced a partnership with Virtusa Corporation to build VCB Corporate DigiBank, a cloud-native corporate banking platform. The project kickoff ceremony took place on Jul 30, 2026 in Hanoi. Vietcombank described it as the largest technology project in the bank's history, replacing legacy infrastructure with a mobile-first architecture for mid-sized and large corporate clients.

The initial launch phase will modernize account management and payments. Later releases will add lending, trade finance, collections, foreign exchange, and investments. Virtusa will transfer full platform ownership and IP to Vietcombank through a structured knowledge-transfer framework, equipping the bank's internal teams to run and scale the technology independently.
