On March 23, 2026, Unit21 announced a partnership with Helix by Q2, a cloud-native core banking platform, to power AI-driven AML workflows and sponsor bank oversight for Banking-as-a-Service programs. The integration enables sponsor banks and fintechs using Helix to ingest first- and third-party data into Unit21's AI risk infrastructure for configurable AML monitoring, investigations, and reporting. Key capabilities include seamless data ingestion from core banking and transaction systems, customizable AML workflows tailored by sponsor bank or fintech program, AI agents for alert triage and decision support, and consolidated visibility across multiple fintech partners.

Unit21 CEO Trisha Kothari noted that the partnership helps sponsor banks scale AML programs efficiently amid rising regulatory scrutiny on BaaS, reducing manual effort and enabling faster fintech onboarding without added compliance burden. Unit21 serves over 200 customers globally, including Green Dot, Chime, and Sallie Mae. No financial terms were disclosed.
