Socure Acquires BNPL Database Qlarifi for Credit Infrastructure

Socure, an identity verification and risk decisioning platform, acquired Buy Now Pay Later consumer credit database Qlarifi. The deal combines Qlarifi's BNPL credit data with Socure's existing identity verification and fraud prevention tools. Socure said the acquisition will create unified identity, anti-fraud, and BNPL credit infrastructure for the embedded lending ecosystem.

BNPL providers, merchants, and platforms that embed buy-now-pay-later at checkout stand to gain a more robust credit and risk data layer for underwriting. The combined offering is also intended to help consumers build credit responsibly. Financial terms were not disclosed.
