Saxo Bank Signs White-Label Deals with Five Danish Banks
Saxo Bank entered into white-label agreements with five Danish banks through a technical integration with SDC, a data centre and IT infrastructure provider serving over 120 Nordic banks. The participating banks—Sparekassen Vendsyssel, Sparekassen Thy, Middelfart Sparekasse, Frøs Sparekasse, and Jutlander Bank—collectively serve approximately 500,000 clients. Under the arrangement, these small and medium-sized banks can offer clients access to stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs using Saxo's trading and investment platform while maintaining their own branding.
Saxo also developed a digital advisory tool designed to integrate with the banks' existing systems, providing financial advisors with comprehensive portfolio overviews. Technical integration began in the second half of 2020, with solutions expected to launch in the first half of 2021. The white-label model allows participating banks to reduce IT costs and complexity while expanding their product offerings.
This partnership exemplifies how BaaS-style infrastructure providers enable traditional banks to modernize their digital investment services.
- Demonstrates viability of white-label investment infrastructure for small and mid-sized banks across the Nordics
- Strengthens the case for BaaS-style platform models in wealth management and brokerage services
