Saxo Bank Partners with Microsoft to Migrate BaaS Platform to Azure Cloud

On April 24, 2018, Saxo Bank and Microsoft announced a strategic partnership to migrate Saxo Bank's trading and investment platform to the Microsoft Cloud. Saxo Bank operates one of the largest white-label banking-as-a-service models in the investment and trading space, supporting over 120 partnerships with banks and brokers globally. Through this BaaS model, partner institutions gain access to Saxo's technology infrastructure and more than 35,000 financial instruments across multiple asset classes.

The migration to Microsoft's cloud is designed to enhance the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform for both Saxo and its white-label partners. This move positions Saxo Bank to better serve its growing network of BaaS clients by leveraging Microsoft's global cloud infrastructure. Financial terms of the partnership were not publicly disclosed.

The deal reflects a broader industry trend of BaaS and white-label providers modernizing their infrastructure through cloud partnerships to meet increasing demand from fintech and banking clients.
