Revolut Japan Partners with Minna no Ginko via BaaS Banking Agency Agreement
Minna no Ginko and Revolut Technologies Japan expanded their existing partnership by entering a banking agency agreement. Under the deal, Revolut will serve as an intermediary, enabling users to open Minna no Ginko yen-denominated bank accounts directly through the Revolut app. Minna no Ginko provides the underlying banking license and deposit infrastructure.
Revolut contributes its consumer-facing fintech platform and distribution channel in Japan. The arrangement follows a banking-as-a-service model in which a licensed bank supplies regulated account services through a fintech partner. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
