Pact Labs Raises $7M Series A Led by Tether for Payroll and Payments
Tether led a $7 million Series A round in Pact Labs, a fintech firm that connects traditional financial services with blockchain-based liquidity for payroll, payments, and asset-based lending. The deal was announced on Jul 14, 2026. Pact Labs embeds stablecoin rails into existing fintech products, abstracting the crypto layer from end users.
The company has facilitated nearly $2 billion in on-chain loan volumes with over $1 billion in originations, serving more than 500,000 users across seven fintech partners. It operates on the Aptos and Celo blockchains. The investment is aimed at scaling USA₮, Tether's U.S.-regulated dollar-backed stablecoin issued through Anchorage Digital Bank.
Tether previously took a $100 million stake in Anchorage in February 2026, building a vertically integrated stack for U.S. stablecoin distribution.
