Mastercard and WeLab Bank Launch Numberless Debit Card in Hong Kong

Mastercard and WeLab Bank announced the launch of a numberless debit card on July 20, 2020, designed to deliver a fully digital banking experience in Hong Kong. The numberless design removes the printed card number from the physical card, enhancing security by reducing the risk of card data theft. WeLab Bank, one of Hong Kong's licensed virtual banks, leverages Mastercard's card network and technology to provide its customers with a seamless payment experience.
