Mastercard Launches Accelerate Program to Fast-Track Fintech Partnerships

On October 31, 2019, Mastercard launched Accelerate, a comprehensive global program designed to streamline fintech onboarding and partnership. The centerpiece is Fintech Express, which uses a BIN Sponsor agnostic model to allow fintechs to begin issuing cards in as little as four weeks, dramatically reducing time-to-market. Mastercard built relationships with certified processors including CSU, DXC, Pismo, Orbitall, Conductor, and Tutuka to deliver Express Onboarding services.

The initiative addresses the complexity fintechs historically faced when integrating with card network infrastructure. By offering a simplified, accelerated path to market, Mastercard positions itself to compete aggressively with Visa's Fintech Fast Track program for fintech partnerships. The program launched across Latin America and globally, reflecting the rapid expansion of embedded finance and BaaS models worldwide.
