K-Bank, BPMG, and HashKey Sign MOU for Stablecoin Remittance Services

K-Bank announced on Jul 21, 2026, that it signed a memorandum of understanding with BPMG and HashKey Global to cooperate on overseas remittance and payment services using blockchain. The three companies plan to develop a blockchain-based remittance model linking Korea and Hong Kong, starting with a technology proof-of-concept. Beyond remittances, the partnership covers digital asset custody, conversion, settlement technology, and new business models built on digital assets.

HashKey Group, the Hong Kong-based parent of HashKey Global, operates across digital asset trading, asset management, and blockchain infrastructure with offices in Singapore and Japan. If financial authorities grant approval, the partners will prepare internal controls including KYC and AML systems before launching services. K-Bank has also signed agreements this year with Changer.ae, Thailand's KASIKORNBANK, and Ripple, building a series of global partnerships around cross-border blockchain payments.
