IXOPAY Partners with Volt for White-Label Payments Orchestration via Open Banking

On May 5, 2021, IXOPAY announced a partnership with Volt to provide a white-label payments orchestration platform with integrated account-to-account (A2A) payment capabilities. The integration leverages Volt's Open Banking connectivity to over 4,500 European banks, enabling IXOPAY's merchant and platform clients to offer real-time bank-to-bank payments alongside card-based transactions. IXOPAY contributes its payments orchestration infrastructure, which allows businesses to manage multiple payment service providers through a single API, while Volt provides the Open Banking rails and bank connectivity layer.

The partnership reduces friction for merchants seeking to adopt A2A payments by embedding the capability within an existing orchestration platform rather than requiring separate integrations. For customers, the combined solution offers more payment options at checkout with potentially lower transaction costs compared to card payments. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The collaboration reflects the growing convergence of Open Banking and payments orchestration in European embedded finance, as PSD2 regulations continue to drive innovation. The deal positions both companies to capture demand from platforms seeking to reduce payment processing costs through direct bank transfers.
