Danske Bank Signs Multi-Year Cloud and AI Partnership with AWS

Danske Bank signed a multiyear agreement with Amazon Web Services as part of its Forward'28 strategy. The bank will migrate more than 16,600 virtual and physical servers and over 1,000 applications from its private cloud to AWS. Systems serving personal, business, and institutional customers are included in the migration scope.

Danske Bank plans to use AWS's AI, machine learning, and generative AI services to boost developer productivity, power conversational interfaces, deliver personalised recommendations, and draw insights from customer interactions. More than 1,500 employees will receive AWS training, and cloud skills will be embedded into management courses. Frans Woelders, COO of Danske Bank, said the investment in cloud technology supports the bank's goal of becoming simpler, more efficient, and more secure.
