Central Payments Launches Six Fintech Partners on Open*CP BaaS Marketplace
Central Payments announced on February 2, 2022, the launch of embedded finance products for six fintech partners through its Open*CP Fintech API Marketplace. The six partners—Kinly, Wellthi, Soon, DraftFuel, Fourth, and Tapcheck—gained access to prepaid card issuing, payments technology, and banking-as-a-service capabilities. Kinly launched a digital banking app targeting Black America, with cards issued by Central Bank of Kansas City.
Fourth integrated early wage access functionality into its payroll systems. The Open*CP platform serves as a BaaS marketplace connecting fintechs with banking infrastructure and compliance capabilities. This multi-partner launch demonstrates the scalability of API-driven BaaS platforms enabling non-banks to offer financial products.
The breadth of use cases—from neobanking to earned wage access—highlights the versatility of embedded finance infrastructure.
- Demonstrates multi-tenant BaaS marketplace model scaling by onboarding multiple fintechs simultaneously
