BSC and W.UP Merge to Form Finshape Digital Banking Platform

Banking Software Company (BSC) of the Czech Republic and Hungary-based W.UP completed their merger in October 2021 to form Finshape, a new entity focused on data-driven digital banking solutions across Europe and beyond. BSC contributed its low-code digital banking platform capabilities, while W.UP brought data-driven personalization technology. The combined company is backed by PortfoLion Capital Partners, a venture capital and private equity fund.

Finshape's customer base includes major European banks such as Raiffeisen, BNP Paribas, Erste, Société Générale, and Alfa-Bank. The merger positions Finshape as a significant player in enabling banks to deliver embedded, personalized digital banking experiences. Financial terms of the merger were not publicly disclosed.
