KB Kookmin Bank Adopts Aton's AI Anti-Phishing Solution for Mobile App

Aton, a Korean fintech security firm, announced on Oct 22, 2025, a partnership with NongHyup Mutual Finance's digital business division to deploy its AI-based anti-phishing solution, DefendUs, within the NH Kok Bank mobile banking app. The solution uses a dual-detection system that scans for malicious URLs across SMS and messaging channels such as KakaoTalk, Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp. It also blocks access to harmful links through web browsers.

DefendUs draws on databases from KISA, Google, and global security firms, combined with AI pattern analysis and Aton's proprietary patented technology. The product is delivered as a SaaS-based in-app B2B service compatible with both iOS and Android. Aton is also pursuing deployment with other large Korean financial institutions and exploring expansion into Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Europe through local partners.
