Airwallex Acquires Leapfin to Strengthen Financial Data Automation

Airwallex announced the acquisition of Leapfin, a financial data automation platform focused on revenue recognition and reconciliation. The deal brings Leapfin's automated subledger and accounting tools into Airwallex's global infrastructure, which processes over $266 billion in annual transaction volume and serves more than 250,000 customers. Leapfin's technology converts transactional data into GAAP-ready financials, covering reconciliation and the broader record-to-report process.

The companies plan to launch new product capabilities in the coming months building on Leapfin's platform. Leapfin's core product, leadership, and engineering teams will continue operating under the Airwallex umbrella, with continuity for existing customers. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
